Metro Machine, Inc Conflict Mineral Policy

The United States Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”) issued final rules implementing the provisions of Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (the “Dodd-Frank Act”) in 2012.  Specifically, Section 1502 of the Dodd-Frank Act requires all U.S. publicly traded companies to file disclosures and reports with the SEC on the use of Conflict Minerals.  The SEC’s final rules define “conflict mineral” as tantalum, tin, tungsten and gold and their derivatives, as well as the metal ore from which any of these minerals is extracted, collectively referred to as “3TG.” This Policy applies to Conflict Minerals anywhere within the supply chain.

This ruling also applies to minerals determined by the Secretary of State to be used in financing the cause of Conflict Minerals in the Democratic Republic of Congo and adjoining countries (Republic of Congo, Central Africa Republic, South Sudan, Zambia, Angola, Tanzania, Burundi, Rwanda and Uganda) collectively, the “DRC Countries”.

In order to comply with Conflict Mineral flow-down reporting requirements from our customers we require a partnership with our suppliers.

Metro Machine requires that any material supplied to us will not contain Conflict Minerals which originate from DRC countries.  A supplier that provides Metro Machine, Inc. with materials that contain Conflict Minerals must provide certification that the minerals do not originate from the DRC countries.

Metro Machine, Inc. encourages our suppliers to adopt a policy in respect to Conflict Minerals and to establish their own due diligence and sourcing programs to ensure compliance.
